West Virginia Beans

2 c. dry pinto beans
1/4 lb. salt pork
1 c. chopped onion
1 clove garlic
2 t. salt
pepper
2 16 oz cans tomatoes
3/4 c. diced green pepper
1 T. sugar
6 drops hot pepper sauce
Soak beans overnight. Put all ingredients together and then cook until beans are done. Serve over cornbread.
