Stuffed Cabbage Rolls

1 lb. hamburger
2 t. salt
3/4 c. cooked rice
1 onion
1/4 c. lemon juice
2  8 oz cans tomato sauce
12 cabbage leaves
2 T. vegetable oil
1/2 c. brown sugar

Combine first 4 ingredients with 1 can of tomato sauce.  Blanch cabbage leaves 4 minutes in boiling water and drain.  Place meat mixture on each leaf, roll and fasten with a toothpick.  Brown in oil.  Mix remaining tomato sauce, sugar and lemon juice.  Pour over rolls and simmer covered for 1 to 1 1/2 hours

~Cabbage in Alaska grew big and sweet.  We always had a bumper crop.  Our kids really DID come from the cabbage patch!
