Spritz Cookies

1 c. shortening
3/4 c. sugar
1 egg
2 1/4 c. flour
1/2 t. baking powder
dash of salt
1 t. almond extract

Cream shortening, adding sugar gradually.  Add egg unbeaten and beat well.  Add dry ingredients and extract.  Fill cookie press and form cookies on ungreased cookie sheet.  Bake at 375ºF. for 6-7 minutes.  Makes about 5 dozen.
