Morning Maple Muffins

2 c. flour
1/2 c. brown sugar
2 t. baking powder
1/2 t. salt
3/4 c. milk
1/2 c. melted butter
1/2 c. maple syrup
1/4 c. sour cream
1 egg
1/2 t. vanilla

Topping:
3 T. flour
3 T. sugar
1/2 t. cinnamon
2 t. chopped nuts
2 T. butter

Combine dry ingredients.  In a separate bowl, combine wet ingredients.  Add to dry ingredients just until moistened.  Fill 12 muffin cups.  For topping, combine flour, sugar, cinnamon and nuts.  Cut in butter until crumbly.  Sprinkle over butter.  Bake at 400ºF. for 16-20 minutes.
